MY Ubiquitous is the fourth successive superyacht repaint at Rivergate, Australia, in the last 12 months, with the site's reputation said to be growing as a refinish destination due to the combination of onsite painters, Brisbane's climate and the attitude of the shipyard. The 125 foot Westport yacht has now sailed from Rivergate Marina and Shipyard after a three month project to completely repaint the vessel. The work was carried out by onsite superyacht finishers, Millennium Marine Australia. This is their 60th repaint.

Often the most pivotal decision in a refit, a successful repaint of a superyacht depends on multiple factors aligning to achieve the best result. Located below the cyclone belt, Brisbane has a sub-tropical climate where the relative humidity is, on average, well below 85% year round. Average temperatures are consistent ranging between 20.90C and 29.10C throughout the year making it highly suitable for such work.

Moving to Rivergate three and half years ago was one of the smartest avenues for Millennium Marine Australia. The range of superyachts and pleasure craft motoring to the destination has been non-stop. We have seen and worked on high profile superyachts. Capitalising on these conditions, Rivergate reports that it has successfully project managed complex, concurrent refits to further reduce time on the yard.
