2009 marked
the 100th year of continuous engineering services
of the Baddiley family in Brisbane.
“Alex
Baddiley was known as the gentleman of the Brisbane River
and I think that trait has survived throughout the years to the current
management,” stated Steve Fisher, General Manager of Rivergate.
Lex Baddiley
Marine Engineers service an
extensive network of vessels and clients whom travel great distances to have
work completed by the latest family generation, Paul and David Baddiley, at
Rivergate Marina and Shipyard.
The current
business at Rivergate specialises in repair and maintenance of propeller,
shaft, rudder and propulsion mechanisms for yachts, superyachts, patrol
boats, steel vessels, wooden boats and motor craft.
Lex Baddiley
Marine Engineers’ reputation has taken David and Paul as far as Norway to work on a vessel and throughout the
Pacific and Australia’s
east coast.
To
commemorate the occasion, Rivergate hosted a Morning Tea for the Baddiley
family, clients and friends. It
was wonderful to see three generations of Baddiley attending. |
